My Love, My Only Light...
I was Air,
In her, so necessary,
Yet unnoticed.
I saw only darkness,
In shrouded anonymity,
Yet the darkness was mine.
My only love,
Was for her,
The only light.
My Gloaming continued,
My Shadows wept,
As rain upon my own history.
Her selfish blade,
Severed contentment,
My cage unhinged.
For many minutes,
I remained therein,
Sleeping, and dreaming.
Till one pearl beam,
Warmed my lids,
And they opened.
Minutes became months,
And the sun rose once more,
As my shadows died.
This time,
The light and love,
Was for me.
My Love,
My only light.
